AGC Charities Operation Opening Doors Project
The coronavirus led to a brief delay in starting of AGC Charities’ most recent Operation Opening Doors project. The association’s philanthropic arm had been set to begin work renovating the women’s shelter at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission in mid-March, to coincide with AGC of America’s Annual Convention. Here is a brief video about the project. But after the start of the pandemic, AGC Charities’ local contractor partners, led by the Penta Group, had to delay the start of the project.
The good news is we are ready to pick up where we left off and restart work on the project. The bad news is Las Vegas has been hit far harder by the economic impacts of the coronavirus than just about anywhere else. There are even more women and their families in need of the shelter and support the Rescue Mission provides. And, unfortunately, many local contractors are struggling with plummeting business levels and can no longer afford to donate as much.
That means we need your support now more than ever.
We are asking you to, please, contribute today to AGC Charities Inc so we can help women in need and their children have a place to stay and heal that is safe, secure and dignified. As one of the few industries allowed to continue operating during the pandemic, construction has been relatively blessed these past few months. Now is the time to share those blessings by contributing to AGC Charities’ latest Operation Opening Doors project.
We are asking every member firm to contribute one-hundred dollars. If you can afford more, wonderful. If you can afford less, that is fine too. Just take a few seconds and please donate today.
Please email Brian Turmail, or call 703-459-0238 for more information on how you can get further involved.
