WHAT WE’RE DOING
AGC Charities raised money to support the renovation of an historic barn to serve as the new national healing quarters for Warrior Canine Connection. Construction work on the barn began in early 2019 and once finished will allow Warrior Canine Connection to train twice as many service dogs as it currently does. As a result, AGC Charities is raising additional funds to help cover the cost of training the service dogs that will go to veterans with physical and mental wounds.
ABOUT WARRIOR CANINE CONNECTION’S NEW NATIONAL HEALING QUARTERS
The barn renovation will preserve much of the 1930s-era structure while building modern office, meeting and training spaces where veterans can work and bond with their animals. The improved structure will also include overnight space on the barn’s second floor for veterans who are going through the program to stay and relax. All told, AGC Charities has provided over one million dollars in funds and in-kind services and supplies to help secure renovation of the barn.

MORE ABOUT WARRIOR CANINE CONNECTION
Warrior Canine Connection is a nonprofit organization that helps veterans with invisible injuries like post-traumatic stress disorder return home from combat and learn to reintegrate into society by training service dogs for fellow veterans. The training process provides incredible therapeutic benefit to the wounded warriors and, once trained, the service dogs provide immense benefits to the veterans they serve. Although Warrior Canine Connection is headquartered just outside Washington, DC, its impact stretches across the country by providing mission-based therapy and service animals to veterans from all throughout the United States.
