AGC Charities Operation Opening Doors Project
Come Early to Las Vegas to Volunteer to Help The Boys & Girls Clubs of Nevada
AGC Charities, Inc. and the local Construction Leadership Council are Organizing a Volunteer Day to Help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada on Sunday, March 12th at 8:30 am to 3 pm
AGC Charities and the local Construction Leadership Council will be hosting a volunteer day event at a local Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada facility which serves the youth that walk through the doors each day – more than 85 young people. The local facility, Donald W. Reynolds Club, offers a full curriculum of programming, including homework assistance and academic tutoring, arts & crafts, leadership training, health and wellness, service opportunities, sports & recreation and e-sports, workforce development, college readiness, and a meal program. The Club features a games room, learning zone, computer lab, art room, gym with three full basketball courts, teen center, Notes for Notes Studio and outdoor area with a garden.
The Reynolds Gym renovation is a critical project to ensure Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada can continue serving the youth that walk through the doors each day – more than 85 young people. The health and wellness programs, such as the ones we ran inside at our Reynolds Gym, develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors, nurture their well-being, set personal goals, and grow into self-sufficient adults. Our programs are designed to help youth develop the mind, body, and soul! Kids and teens in our Healthy Lifestyles programs learn skills to manage stress, eat right, keep physically fit, and develop healthy relationships. By supporting this project with a donation or in-kind items, you are helping young people in our community have a safe place to go where they can get help with sparking an interest in sports and recreation, develop supportive relationships with peers and adults, learn new skills and grow!
If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute, please consider making a donation online.
